Used Digital Recording

Digitally recording sounds and video footage onto a storage device is known as Digital Recording. It has slowly replaced Analog Recording. In the past, SPARS code was used to show what was digitally and analog recorded. Nowadays, almost everything is digitally recorded.

There are many way to digitally record things. A Digital Recording device most commonly used today is a USB flash drive. A flash drive is able to transfer documents, music, photos and other applications from one computer to another computer.

The digital audiotape or DAT recorder was first developed by Sony and helped the mainstream public start shifting to Digital Recording devices instead of Analog Recording devices.

Another digital recorder is a DVD and CD drive. DVD and CD recorders are able to write music and movies onto a CD or DVD disc using Lasers to create minuscule holes into the dye layer of the disc. These devices are then played using another type of laser to read the Digital Recording signal on the disc.

Basically Digital Recording consists of repeatedly looking at the momentary level of an image, sounds, or movie and then giving it a binary number and assigning it certain number of bits (memory) that it will take up. The sequences of these binary numbers are then transferred into a digital to analog converter (DAC).

Digital Recording signals can be amplified with the use of sound speakers and transferred to a computer or video screen.
